Pomegranate inside

Since pomegranate is in season, I bought it the other day. I was thinking how else can I use it. Opening the kitchen cabinet I saw these molds, which I almost forgot. I began to add the ingredients in the bowl and in no time I got these delicious snacks, with a...

What do you think will winter be full of snow? I somehow hope it will not. But if it does, we couldn't care less, there will be more time for cooking and socializing in the home environment. In November, seasonal foods are: cabbage, chestnuts, cranberries...

Beans

Frankly, I know that many will be delighted with this recipe. And I'm on the same mission: every traditional recipe can be made and nothing is impossible to cook. On the other hand, in our family, we all like beans. Additional value: you have lunch for at least two...

Breakfast on the East – dinner on the West Coast of USA

In October, although there were not many texts on the Chakula Web, this does not mean that this month was not extremely busy. Namely, Chakula is among 70 startups from 42 countries, which are part of the YTILI program. More about the program and...

In season: October

Despite the cool last days of September, I still believe in the golden and sunny autumn. An irreparable optimist what can I do. On the other hand, when it is rainy and gloomy outside, there is something in a hot tea, a home-made cake and a blanket. In...

Muffins with apples, cinnamon and sour cherries

These muffins are the only and best recipe you will ever need. Perhaps you read such sentence rather often, but since I've made about 50 of these muffins so far and each one is eaten, I think I have solid evidence. I still have apples in stock and are so juicy that I...

Gallette with apples

Here is Chakula again with another recipe with apples. Indeed, this year apple season is rich. And cakes should be made frequently, so let's get to it. As for the gallettes, I look at photos od this dessert on Instagram all summer, filled with seasonal fruit, so I...

Apples are in season in September, so apple cakes are inevitable. Somehow traditionally in our family these cakes are made of finely grated apples and with classic biscuit base. I put this cake into a bundt cake mold and I chopped apples into cubes. Cinnamon is...

Pumpkin sweet bites

Pumpkins are in season. There are all kinds which you can, depending on what you plan to make. I bought a 3.5 kg pumpkin, sweet for cakes. For pumpkin cakes the base is pumpkin puree. Where I live there is no canned puree to buy, and maybe it's better ( certainly it...

The first days of September are usually the firsts day of school. And even if you do not have a school kid in the house, I think we all remember school days. September brings the first autumn leaves, but also rain. Certainly it means that we will be more...

Welcome to all food lovers, to all explorers of different cooking, to all of you who love to eat and want to find new places to enjoy food.

About me

My name is Irma and for 10 years I have been cooking for my family and friends. Two years ago I started with food photography and with exploring recipes and adapting them to my liking. During this period of two years, at least once per week I was asked why don’t I start my own web about food and cooking. Apparently I have finally ceded before presures because here you are on my own online gastro magazine.

Blog

Aside from recipes, I will try to write up gastro stories from my travels. A specific part of the magazine is the section Gastronomad(s), because I eat in restaurants frequently and I will gladly share those experiences and reviews of restaurant I visit.
