Here is Chakula again with another recipe with apples. Indeed, this year apple season is rich. And cakes should be made frequently, so let’s get to it.

As for the gallettes, I look at photos od this dessert on Instagram all summer, filled with seasonal fruit, so I needed to follow this trend.  I added nectarines with the apples, and you can add whatever seasonal fruit you wish.

This is another recipe with a step by step explanation and photos.

Preparation time: 45 minutes

– 150 g flour

– 30 g chopped walnuts

– 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

– 1/2 teaspoon of salt

– 2 teaspoon of sugar

– 140 g butter

– 3 tablespoons of water

– 2 apples

– 1 nectarine

– 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

– 2 teaspoons of brown sugar

– 1 egg yolk

– walnuts for decoration

In a blender mix together flour, walnuts, salt, sugar and cinnamon.

Add butter and water to the mixture.

Form the dough and wrap it in a transparent foil. Put it in the fridge for about an hour.

Wash the apples and nectarine and cut into slices. Roll the dough on the baking paper at some 3-4 mm thickness. Line the apples and nectarine and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar on the edges.

Roll the edges towards the center and sprinkle it with egg yolk. Sprinkle with walnuts. Bake for 30 minutes at 180°C.

Voilà, a real French dessert is here.
