Apples are in season in September, so apple cakes are inevitable. Somehow traditionally in our family these cakes are made of finely grated apples and with classic biscuit base.
I put this cake into a bundt cake mold and I chopped apples into cubes. Cinnamon is abundant, because what kind of apple cake would it be without cinnamon.
Since you love step by step explanations, I’ve photographed the entire process.
Preparation time: 90 minutes
– 8 apples
– 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
– 3 tablespoons of sugar
– 360 g flour
– 1 tablespoon of baking powder
– 1 teaspoon of salt
– 150 ml oil
– 200 g sugar
– juice of 2 lemons
– 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
– 4 eggs
– 100 g chopped walnuts
Peel and clean the apples. You can take whatever type of apples you have at hand or in the garden. This mobile phone stand is very practical, because you can follow the recipes at Chakula and cook.
Chop each apple into cubes of about 1 cm. Sprinkle the apples with lemon juice so they do not darken.
Add cinnamon and sugar to the apples, stir and leave aside.
Mix dry ingredients in a bowl: flour, baking powder and salt. In the second bowl, mix the other ingredients: lemon juice, oil, sugar, vanilla extract and eggs.
Mix dry and wet ingredients and you can see in the photo what the consistency of the mixture is.
Sprinkle the bundt pan with oil. Add half of the mixture, and then half of the prepared apples. Feel free to add the juice that the apples have left. Sprinkle with half of the prepared walnuts.
Add the rest of the mixture, apples and walnuts. Bake for 90 minutes at 175 ° C.
And that is it. A delicious cake that’s great the day after as well. Keep the cake at room temperature. And look at this heart in the mixture that apples have created.
